Ukraine will import gas from Greece to meet its winter needs, as announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
He stated that Ukraine has prepared a deal with Greece for additional gas supply routes and secured nearly 2 billion euros to counteract damage to domestic gas production caused by Russian attacks. Zelenskiy’s statement was made before his visit to Greece, followed by trips to France and Spain.
He noted that Ukraine has funding agreements with European partners, banks, and U. S. allies. Additionally, Ukraine is working with Polish partners and Azerbaijan to secure long-term contracts for winter gas supplies.
