Vance Expects Iran Talks; Tehran Warns of Hormuz Closure

U. S. Vice President JD Vance announced plans to visit Switzerland for talks with Iran.

U. S. Vice President JD Vance announced plans to visit Switzerland for talks with Iran. Meanwhile, Iran’s military command stated they would close the Strait of Hormuz, which is crucial for global oil shipments, due to alleged violations of a ceasefire agreement by the U. S. and Israel.

They referred to this closure as the “first step” in response to what they claim are breaches of commitments, warning of further actions if aggression continues. Despite this, Vance expressed confidence that the ceasefire from a recent 14-point deal with Tehran would last and noted he saw no signs that the Strait of Hormuz was closed.
