Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced sanctions on foreign manufacturers that supply components for Russian drones and missiles used against Ukraine.
He stated that these companies enable Russia to bypass existing sanctions. The sanctions target several Chinese companies and firms from the former Soviet Union, the UAE, and Panama. Despite peace negotiations, Russia has intensified its missile and drone attacks on Ukraine, particularly affecting energy and logistics, with over 2,000 drones and 116 missiles launched recently.
These strikes have caused significant blackouts in regions, including Kyiv. Zelenskiy also imposed sanctions on the Russian financial sector and entities related to its crypto market and mining.
