Getachew Temare

Getachew Temare is a lawyer, human rights advocate, and peacebuilding practitioner. He holds an MA in Conflict Transformation from Eastern Mennonite University and is pursuing an LL.M. in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at American University Washington College of Law. His work bridges legal analysis, peacebuilding practice, refugee protection, and civic advocacy, with a focus on human rights, transitional justice, national dialogue, accountability, immigration and peace-building.. He writes on authoritarian governance, unresolved conflict, civic exclusion, and the failure of elite-driven peace processes. His broader work seeks to advance human rights protection, democratic reform, civil rights, and inclusive peacebuilding.
