The Trump administration’s discussions with Russia to end the war in Ukraine have included a potential multibillion-dollar oil deal.
This deal would benefit Middle Eastern business executives linked to US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, as reported by the New York Times. It encompasses various oil fields, refineries, and gas stations owned by the Russian energy company Lukoil, but requires approval from both the US government and the Kremlin.
Billionaire Todd Boehly and two Middle Eastern groups involved in business with Kushner or Witkoff’s family are part of the deal. Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed this deal during a meeting with Witkoff and Kushner in September.
