Saudi Arabia’s Future Investment Initiative Institute has named Princess Maha Al Saud as its new chief executive.

The institute holds an annual summit in Riyadh and organizes events worldwide to attract foreign investment. This leadership change was announced ahead of a conference in Rome later this month, following a Miami event in March attended by former U. S. President Donald Trump.

Princess Maha has a medical background and previously served as vice president of External Relations and Advancement at Alfaisal University. She has also represented Saudi Arabia at major events like the G20 and the fourth Eurasian Women’s Forum.

Richard Attias, the former CEO, will remain as chairman of the executive committee. The institute was established in 2019 and is linked to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
