The Pentagon is planning for weeks of ground operations in Iran, according to a Washington Post report citing U. S. officials.
The operations may include raids by Special Operations and conventional infantry troops, but it is uncertain if President Donald Trump will approve these plans.
The Trump administration has already deployed U. S. Marines to the Middle East, with plans to send thousands of soldiers from the 82nd Airborne as the war in Iran enters its fifth week.
