Shahim Afandiyeva is a recent graduate of international relations from Khazar University in Baku, Azerbaijan. Her research interests include geopolitical developments, foreign policy, and security issues in the South Caucasus, as well as the east-west transport connectivity between the EU and China. Shahim is a Research Intern at Topchubashov Center, covering China’s politico-economic engagement with South Caucasus republics since February 2022. She is also an alumna of Conflict School 2024 in Baku.
