Several Palestinians were injured in an Israeli attack on the Nuseirat and Bureij refugee camps in the Gaza Strip on May 23, even though there was a ceasefire in place.
The strikes damaged homes in residential areas where civilians lived. Injured individuals were taken to Al-Awda Hospital for treatment.
Despite the ceasefire starting on October 10, 2025, the Israeli army has continued daily attacks throughout Gaza. Since the ceasefire, Gaza’s Health Ministry reports at least 883 deaths and 2,648 injuries from Israeli attacks, following a war that caused over 72,000 deaths and severe damage to infrastructure.
