Sofia’s Eurovision fans watched the contest in Vienna, which was marked by a boycott from five countries due to the Gaza war.

Petar Stefanov, a finance expert, expressed national pride over Dara’s victory, stating it was for the entire country. Dara emphasized that “Bangaranga” represents hope amid chaos, saying it felt like a dream to win against expectations.

She shared her disbelief during a press conference, joyful of the love shown by juries and the audience. Bulgaria, an EU member, is also emerging from years of political instability and recently joined the euro zone.
