Mega-shows at Copacabana have become popular, with Madonna and Lady Gaga also performing there in the past. These events are part of the “Todo Mundo no Rio” festival, aimed at boosting tourism in May.

The concert featured a drone display projecting a wolf, a symbol linked to Shakira, and she addressed the crowd in Portuguese, expressing her love for Brazil. Shakira performed popular songs like “Hips Don’t Lie,” “Antologia,” and “Waka Waka,” collaborating with Brazilian artists such as Anitta and Caetano Veloso.

City officials estimate that the concert generated about 800 million reais (approximately $161.45 million) for Rio’s economy, impacting various sectors like hotels and restaurants. The “Todo Mundo no Rio” festival will continue on the city’s events calendar until at least 2028.
