Her Story of Education Will Decide Your Past and Future

Astonishingly, we have come so far. The so-called societal norms of the past are still prevailing today when it comes to women’s education and empowerment. Voices uttered loudly, “Why is there a need to make her empower? But luckily, slowly, and gradually society starts transforming itself. Giving it a go ahead signby establishing educational institutes meant for her. With new hope in mind it came a long way towards positivity and acceptance indeed. How a particular norm becomes a culture is much debated issue since decades. But it never appealed much and gained momentum with the beginning of a new morning. Although we believe in least accepted equality standards which lacks practical application and is addition to our failure. We cannot label a particular society is facing this, but it would be more appropriate to refer it to the whole world because of globalisation. As being another gender, they do exist in every corner of the world. Celebration of INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY is the way forward to the acceptance of their existence and rights.

There is a great saying which summarizes the whole content in a nutshell, “When girls are educated, their countries become stronger and more prosperous.” In short, women can play a role in empowering nation. The path to success is never easy but is also not impossible to achieve and notably women have proved it in a conservative society too. With sheer determination, hard working and supportive character you can be someone who lives up their dream. There are thousands of examples of women empowerment that portrays that education and empowerment is not associated to one gender only. The key to success is linked with education. The formal and informal modes of education stand essential in transforming a society. Limiting this to one specific group is more like bounding your own parameters. Even in 21st century we have seen a huge number of women who were left behind in the path to success because of ‘Education’.

The saddest point on which one can cry for hours is the double standards that we are carrying with ourselves. Why these double standards? Why the societal pressure is being used to counter women’s education? And the biggest cause which is the main hurdle is the ‘superiority complex.’ Well, as a human being we all in some way needs attention and appreciation. Dominancy of one gender is disturbing the balance of our society. It is made by combining different moral ethical principles and values on which societies work and run. We are so used to of following a particular norm without estimating the harm. Because it is a part of our belief system and without knowing how much loss it has caused, we still emphasized on making it a must part of our life. Oh! A sad reality which is hitting us hard since centuries. Old enough to be remembered as a tale but a present reality.

Just look back at the times when the society was backward, but we had noble & educated ladies. In the context of subcontinent, their roles were much highlighted. From rulers to decision makers, women had served the nation. Then the era came which moulded the society in a manner seems unpleasant today. The rising voice of feminists and their critiques pose such questions on women’s stance which was not even the requirement of a common women. Instead of raising voice for freedom for education for a better future. The play cards and slogans convey something else on behalf of this gender. The concept was misunderstood as it portrayed the theory negatively. Further the status of women in a society determines the future of the state.  We are so unlucky that instead of promoting women education we criticised those who stepped forward for the cause. If women were given chance to educate themselves, they would bring everlasting change in our society.

We cannot blame anyone. We, the individuals form a society by sharing common values and these then shape the societal norms. Backward society where there is rule of feudal lords not only women suffered when it comes to education, but men also face serious challenges. The hold of feudalism in shaping and forming our societies will only be diminished when we stand united against it. Unity is important for any change as it matters a lot along with the will of the members. Look! Every gender has special qualities that varies from physical to mental approach. It is the point where we distinguish each gender. Similarly, women are creative in their own way. By polishing their hidden talent through education, they will surely contribute for a prosperous nation. We must support them. Work for the cause to promote women education and empowerment.  Always remember, it is not Men who transform a society, but a woman surely does. Let’s break the chain together.
