Ukraine has restarted its attacks on Russian refineries, targeting an installation in the Ryazan region. This action follows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy expressing anger over a “dangerous” withdrawal of US intelligence support. After US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire regarding energy attacks, Ukraine had halted its assaults on Russian refineries, which Trump blamed for rising diesel prices. However, Zelenskiy grew frustrated over ongoing Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy sites, which left 600,000 without power. He warned that Ukraine would not refrain from striking if Russia did not respond similarly and criticized Trump’s perceived favoritism towards Russia.

In an interview, Zelenskiy stated that Ukraine’s restraint was over, declaring, “We’re done.” Pavel Malkov, the governor of Ryazan, reported that a drone attack caused a fire at an oil refinery, with damage being assessed. Zelenskiy also criticized the US’s eagerness to do business with Russia and expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of US early-warning alerts for incoming Russian missiles. He noted that the military version of Starlink, related to Elon Musk, had slowed down, affecting Ukrainian military operations. Musk claimed the US government controlled Starshield’s speed limits.

Zelenskiy was informed that US intelligence would be restricted unless Ukraine stopped attacks on Russian energy sites. He mentioned he could consider halting such strikes if the US provided more Patriot interceptors, which he called the “minimum” requirement for agreement.
