Iran’s foreign minister accused the United Arab Emirates (UAE) of being directly involved in military actions against Iran during a BRICS meeting in New Delhi. This statement followed the UAE’s denial of an earlier claim made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding his visit to the Gulf nation amid the ongoing conflict with Iran. Araqchi criticized the UAE for not condemning the attacks against Iran and warned that those collaborating with Israel would face consequences.
He stated that the UAE’s alliances with the U. S. and Israel did not guarantee their security and encouraged them to rethink their approach towards Iran. Araqchi emphasized the importance of peaceful relations between the two countries for coexisting harmoniously. Reports suggest that the conflict escalated with U. S. and Israeli strikes on February 28, leading to Iranian retaliatory actions. Unconfirmed reports indicate the UAE has conducted military operations against Iran. Doubts were also raised about the ability of BRICS members to reach a consensus due to the tensions between Iran and the UAE.
