Global supply disruptions from the war in the Middle East have created new trade opportunities for Russia, according to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. He emphasized the importance of maintaining price stability in the domestic market while highlighting that the situation could benefit export-oriented industries and increase budget revenues.

Mishustin noted that Russia, as a major player in oil, wheat, and fertilizer exports, has the potential to boost shipments of resources currently affected by the crisis. He specifically mentioned disruptions in the supplies of urea, sulfur, and helium, where Russia is a leading producer.

To shield domestic consumers from external price increases, Mishustin pointed to recent bans on gasoline and nitrogen fertilizer exports as protective measures. He declared that prioritizing the domestic market remains crucial for the country.
