Two Ukrainian drones attacked the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil and petrochemical complex in Bashkortostan, one of Russia’s largest facilities.
This attack is part of Ukraine’s intensified drone strikes on Russian oil and gas infrastructure since early August, driven by frustration over stalled peace talks.
Regional head Radiy Khabirov reported no casualties and stated that emergency services were on site to assess damage and extinguish fires.
The same complex faced a previous attack in May 2024, and an oil refinery in Ufa was also targeted last week.
