According to local media reports on Friday, Mongolia and Britain have reached an agreement to enhance their bilateral ties and cooperation in various sectors. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia stated that the agreement was made during discussions between Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg and her British counterpart, David Cameron, who was visiting Mongolia.
The ministry further mentioned that both sides have agreed to strengthen their cooperation in areas such as trade, economy, culture, education, tourism, e-government, and geology. Following the talks, a roadmap was signed to elevate the bilateral cooperation to a comprehensive partnership.
This visit by Cameron marks the first official visit by a British foreign secretary to Mongolia in 11 years. Additionally, last year commemorated the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
