Emirates aims to bring back travelers who are hesitant due to the ongoing Iran war by focusing on reliability and customer support instead of lowering fares, said President Tim Clark. He emphasized that the airline will continue to operate its flight schedules despite rising costs and instead offer various incentives to encourage passengers to return. This includes ensuring passenger safety and addressing concerns about canceled flights, including potential arrangements to fly stranded passengers with other airlines.
Clark mentioned that Emirates is actively engaged in discussions with governments and regulators to reduce restrictions on airspace in the Middle East, which has been affected by the U. S.-Israeli conflict with Iran. He stated that intelligence-sharing with regional airlines is extensive to maintain safe operations. Although the airline cannot reduce ticket prices currently due to fluctuating oil prices, Clark remains optimistic about a successful summer season, even with first-class cabins operating below capacity. He believes that oil prices may eventually drop, allowing Emirates to return to more stable operations.
