Russia announced that it decoded a file from a Ukrainian drone it shot down, claiming it shows that Ukraine targeted a Russian presidential residence. This accusation was made after Kyiv allegedly tried to strike a residence of President Putin using 91 long-range drones. Moscow stated it would reconsider its negotiating stance with the U. S. regarding the Ukraine war due to these events.
Ukraine and Western nations have challenged Russia’s version of the incident. The Russian Defence Ministry claimed that the drone was aimed at a facility at the presidential residence. It will share this information with the United States. However, U. S. officials reportedly found no evidence that Ukraine targeted Putin. President Trump initially supported Russia’s claims but later expressed skepticism and criticized Russia for hindering peace in Ukraine after a meeting with Ukraine’s President Zelenskiy. Ukraine denies the attack and labels the accusation as disinformation from Russia.
