Delcy Rodriguez is the vice president of Venezuela and a key figure in the government, particularly as the nation faces potential turmoil. Born on May 18, 1969, in Caracas, she is the daughter of a left-wing guerrilla and has risen through the political ranks over the past decade. She holds significant positions, including finance and oil minister, and has been influential in managing the country’s economy amid severe inflation.

In a recent audio message, she requested proof of life for Maduro and his wife, although her exact location is currently unclear. Rodriguez was previously the foreign minister from 2014 to 2017 and became vice president in June 2018. In August 2024, she was also appointed to manage the oil ministry amidst increasing U.
