Venezuela’s Supreme Court Names Delcy Rodríguez Interim President

The Constitutional Chamber of Venezuela’s Supreme Court has ordered Vice President Delcy Rodríguez to assume the role of acting president due to Nicolás Maduro’s detention by U.S. forces.

The ruling aims to ensure administrative continuity and national defense. It also stated that the court will debate the legal framework necessary to maintain state continuity, government administration, and sovereignty in light of the president’s forced absence.
