“Don’t get angry over shadows. Let the pains of the past go by, because if you do, your soul becomes corrupted, your soul becomes warped,” said Credo Mutwa.
Credo Mutwa had talents in art, culture, history and African spirituality, and one of the things Mutwa will be remembered for is his powerful use of words.
He was a master at prose, both in conversation and literary works.
It was philosopher and theologian Thomas Aquinas that said, “To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible,” and “There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship”.
Prolific German Writer and polymath Goethe wrote, lived, and said, “Correction does much, but encouragement does more.”
One thing that reading philosophy and being a researcher and historian has taught me is this, that it is important to have a constant, effective attitude of gratitude, a consistent prayer life and a recognition of this insight and truth, cognisance of the existence of faith-based promotion, that after anguish and bitterness, after a season of silence, a season of pain and suffering, it is the Almighty that will promote you. It is promotion (albeit in the spiritual dimensions of the supraconscious) and triumph that will assist the individual in overcoming adversity, along with the quantum tools that the individual has at their disposal.
After being exposed to the Quran, reading Islamic literature has made me feel a community with both Christian and Muslim women. This will, if you follow my reasoning and thinking, really transform your thinking and impact your life positively with the correct application. Teach others this point of view, pay it forward. I do it in my own life. If you are grateful for everything that you possess in life, this will make for a very fulfilling life. You will see abundance, where there was poverty and lack before. This is exactly why a prayer life is so important. You will also manifest growth immediately once you begin to live with a grateful heart and in a state of gratitude and abundance. Your vision of the world will change.
Reject having a negative mindset. It is a form of insanity to live in the past as the Don’t Be Sad book says. Even turning to faith and the reading of sacred texts, literature steeped in history, literary works, such as Goethe and Rilke can bring you a kind of revolutionary evolution of the mind and a return to love, life. Gratitude is a positive force for change. Accept, acknowledge, return to love, investigate your mental ups and downs because we often get mentally sick of life sometimes from stressors in our external environment and once that gets the better of us it begins to affect us internally. Our bodies can become sick and it can affect our mental (see psychological), physiological and emotional wellbeing.
So, remain grateful. Count your blessings. Everyday is a new beginning. Start the day with an attitude of gratitude.
Be a representative of the world, an obedient citizen. Think of the effect and impact it will have on the people around you, individuals from all walks of life that you come across, your colleagues in the workplace, think of the effect and impact it can have on the natural world, and the inhabitants of planet Earth.
All people search for a level of depth and authenticity in their lives and relationships. There’s an ache to fill the void, a search for human connection, a spiritual need and a hunger that needs to be fulfilled. Some individuals search for the measure of truth and freedom in church doctrines and ideology. The freedom that will allow them to exist. Stress is a buzzword in today’s society. Depression is following hot on the heels of that word stress.
Stigma still exists with regards to mental sickness in society. Preconceived notions, preconceived dispositions, specific codings in our personality, how we think, what we were taught from childhood. Our education began in the womb. The pain began in the womb. We carry a genetic blueprint of our ancestors (see descendants).
For our evolution to take place, for us to return to having a capacity for love all we have to do is help others and the more we help people without expectation or reward, the more we assist people to reach their goals in this Renaissance with kind thoughts, actions, deeds, and the more we help people without an agenda we will get what we want. This was one of Zig Ziglar’s teachings.
In the global scenario we are faced with many challenges. We see humanity suffering, children, women, men facing hardship after hardship, we see them being tested by war and migration, faced with the human condition, untold despair.
Religion is a bucket, said Dr. Myles Munroe. Faith and thirst. Thirst and faith. We must understand the meaning and spiritual aspects behind the cause and effect of these key concepts.
In today’s society man (see fractured mindset and spoiled identity) seeks pleasure, and he only desires to see and have his needs met. This comes from the adoption of secularist thinking and a kind of materialistic syndrome that has selfish and arrogant undertones. He views religion as existing apart from his soul (see the soul exists of spirit and consciousness) and only believes in his own glory and bounty, possessions and abnormal mindset.
Life is complex. These complexities can affect our mood and our health, our mindset and attitude. Having an attitude of gratitude can be of great assistance in the recovery of tiredness, exhaustion, depression, burnout, negative feedback that leads to overthinking and stressors. Stress can be negative or positive. It’s a myth that all stress is negative. When your body tells you that it is tired, listen and immediately set about creating a haven, a sanctuary for yourself. What is integral to the self is the psychological framework of the individual. Rest is vital.
Having a God-orientated outlook in your own life will not only inspire humility and grace in your leadership, it will raise your skillset and leadership competency and expertise.
No wisdom and no God-orientated, home-centred vision is conventional. The human personality is void of a belief system at birth. I think I can say with considerable certainty how we view people is critical.
The Almighty gave us a well. The well is within us. Inside our core, where the individual personality resides. It is man who appears with a bucket. See the bucket as man’s limited viewpoint, limited vision of the world around him, and see the well as the Almighty’s vision for humanity.
It is important for a Muslim Christian Institute to be built where both Muslims and Christians can be exposed to Islamic literature and Biblical insights, and where individuals can come to an understanding of the two faiths. Both focus on the family and the principle of fatherhood. There is much for the Christian to learn from the pillars of Islam and the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). There is much for the Muslim to learn from Christianity. Let us not leave it to the scholar, academic or researcher to educate us. The future of humanity is upon us, the future of self-transformation, of change and the transformation of well-abled and equipped followers into leaders.
