Stella McCartney presented a summer collection featuring cocktail dresses made from new, feathery materials, showcasing a variety of textures that align with her ecological focus.
McCartney emphasized that the collection represents collaboration and innovation. The show began with actress Helen Mirren reading the Beatles’ song “Come Together,” a suggestion from McCartney that made her nervous.
Models displayed short dresses made from raffia, pastel gowns with a plant-based feather alternative, double-breasted suits, flouncy skirts, and slouchy jeans.
McCartney plans to buy back LVMH’s minority stake in her label while continuing to advise on sustainability. Paris Fashion Week runs until October 7, featuring other notable designers.
