The United States is considering Ukraine’s request for long-range Tomahawk missiles to help combat Russian forces, according to Vice President JD Vance.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has asked the U. S. to sell these missiles to European countries, which could then supply them to Ukraine.
Vance mentioned that President Donald Trump will make the final decision on the matter. Tomahawk missiles, with a range of 2,500 km (1,550 miles), would significantly enhance Ukraine’s defense against Russian attacks.
Providing these missiles may escalate tensions with Russia. Vance also noted that Russia’s invasion has stalled with minimal territorial progress and emphasized the need for peace from the administration.
