The event starts at 8 p.m. Eastern and will be broadcast live on CBS, hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze. Competing against “Severance” are the “Star Wars” series “Andor,” medical drama “The Pitt,” and murder mystery “The White Lotus. ” The best comedy category includes “The Studio,” featuring Rogen as a stressed movie executive, and “Hacks,” starring Smart, who may win her fourth Emmy for this role.
Farrell’s “The Penguin” is up for best limited series alongside Netflix’s “Adolescence. ” Noah Wyle is competing for an Emmy for “The Pitt,” and Ford is nominated for his role in “Shrinking. ” Notable acting nominees include Cristin Milioti, Kathy Bates, and Pedro Pascal. Winners will be chosen by about 26,000 members of the Television Academy.
