Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani revealed its last collection, personally crafted by the late founder, at the Brera art museum in Milan. Known as “King Giorgio,” Armani died at 91 earlier this month. The show was designed to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary and served as a tribute to the designer.
The event featured numerous celebrities including Richard Gere and Cate Blanchett, and took place in a beautifully decorated cloister, with models showcasing lightweight outfits to live music by composer Ludovico Einaudi. The collection, named “Pantelleria, Milan,” displayed a color palette of grey, deep blue, and dark green, reflecting places significant to Armani.
The show concluded with model Agnese Zogla in a stunning blue gown, while Armani’s niece Silvana and business partner Leo Dell’Orco received warm applause. Attendees, including Spike Lee and Cate Blanchett, praised Armani not just as a designer but also as a humanitarian. The show marked the end of Milan Fashion Week before fashion enthusiasts headed to Paris for upcoming events.
