The underlying logic of friendly exchanges between China and Arab countries

The holding of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum in its new edition for the year 2024 constitutes a milestone in strengthening and strengthening the relationship between China and the Arab countries, and will open more partnerships and win-win cooperation for both parties.  The rapid and steady growth and development witnessed by Arab relations with China, whether collectively or bilaterally, casts a shadow over the China-Arab Cooperation Forum, which was preceded by Arab preparation for this important event.

The Tenth Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum will be held in Beijing on May 30. The conference will focus on formulating a comprehensive development plan for Chinese-Arab relations, and Egyptian experts expect this year’s session to achieve fruitful results in cooperation between the two sides. At a time when Chinese-Arab relations are going through their best stages, Beijing is preparing to hold the tenth ministerial meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum. Egyptian experts believe that this forum is an opportunity to further deepen cooperation in various fields between the two sides.

 Despite their different political systems, Arab countries have maintained long-term friendly relations with China. They’re many reason for this long cooperation between the two sides. Additionally, there’s a underlying logic of friendly exchanges between China and Arab countries that have deepen by the bilateral relationships between China and the Arab countries through the China-Arab Cooperation Forum.

 Here, the tenth ministerial conference of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum, which will be held in Beijing on May 30, based on the agreement of China and the Arab countries, will contribute to strengthening dialogue and cooperation in order to advance peace and development. This meeting is also the first ministerial meeting held by the forum after the first China-Arab summit. It is of great importance for linking the past to the future.

Also, since the outbreak of a new round of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, China and the Arab countries have maintained close communication and coordination to protect fairness and justice, and the strategic partnership between China and the Arab countries is for comprehensive cooperation, common development and the future direction of the two parties.

This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the founding of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum.  Over the past 20 years, under the guidance of the diplomacy of heads of state, the Forum has always adhered to the goal of “promoting dialogue and cooperation and advancing peace and development”, and has become a “golden mark” for promoting collective dialogue and practical cooperation between China and Arab countries, and has made important contributions to the development of China-Arab relations, which set a successful example of South-South cooperation.

 China is preparing to seize the opportunity of the Tenth Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum, and work with Arab countries to continue moving forward in the spirit of Chinese-Arab friendship of mutual assistance, equality, mutual benefit, inclusiveness and mutual learning, and to build a Chinese-Arab community with a shared future at a higher level, and contribute  In building a community with a (shared future for humanity).

Cooperation between the Chinese and Arab sides witnessed an important development with the holding of the first Arab-Chinese summit on December 9, 2022 in Saudi Arabia. The Sino-Arab cooperation summits resulted in important results, as three documents were adopted between China and the Arab countries, namely: (the Riyadh Declaration, and the broad outlines document).  The comprehensive cooperation plan between the People’s Republic of China and the Arab countries, and the document for deepening the Arab-Chinese strategic partnership for peace and development).

Chinese President “Xi Jinping” also stressed the need for China and the Arab countries to continue striving together to support peace and stability in the Middle East, protect integrity and justice, promote common development, and learn from each other as friends do.  Emphasizing that China and the Arab countries need to enhance strategic confidence, remain committed to dialogue and consultation, strengthen the foundations of comprehensive global governance, and shift towards a multipolar world away from American and Western hegemonic policies.

 Finally, it is expected that the meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum will produce positive results that will enhance development relations between the two sides, as well as finding common visions that include peace solutions in the Arab region at a time when the conflict in Palestine is still ongoing.
