The trade mission to Dubai is part of the plan for the Gulf region, which presents a very high economic complementarity with Argentina; is a region that by its agro-ecological and climatic characteristics imports food and agricultural products to supply the demand of its citizens.

Itā€™s important to highlight that the Gulf countries as a whole have a population of 57 million inhabitants; a GDP of 1.3 trillion dollars and a GDP per capita close to 24 thousand dollars a year. Within this framework, the United Arab Emirates has a population of 9.3 million; a GDP of 359 billion dollars and a GDP per capita in the order of 38 thousand dollars. The Middle East economy annually demands about $430 billion in imports, of which food accounts for about 20 per cent of the total.

The Plan de PromociĆ³n de Exportaciones 2022 (Export Promotion Plan 2022) comes from the work carried out in the framework of the Consejo PĆŗblico-Privado para la PromociĆ³n de Exportaciones (Public-Corporate Export Promotion Council) which has the participation of about 300 chambers and entities linked to foreign trade from all over Argentina.
