VEDAMO: A new SaaS e-learning platform

VEDAMO is a SaaS e-learning platform designed for distance education that provides different forms of online tutoring in one infrastructure – asynchronous virtual classroom and anasynchronous platform with pre-made materials and tools for the administration and delivery of courses and training programs (learning management system). The virtual classroom can be integrated into other learning management systems such as Moodle, Canvas, Schoology, Google Classroom, etc.

VEDAMO’s creation started back in 2013 with the synchronous virtual classroom development. Its first beta version was tested for social initiatives in 2014. Since then it has been used to support children in hospitals, school dropouts, and refugees with free online classes. In 2015 the team started developing the learning management system in order to provide blended learning – synchronous, asynchronous, and traditional.

In 2017 VEDAMO was nominated in the “Best Innovation for Education” category of the Webit Awards for innovations in the learning process in secondary education institutions in Bulgaria.

In 2020 the company received an investment from BrightCap Ventures, aimed at growing further in the online education market. Currently VEDAMO is used by different educational organizations around the globe, mostly for synchronous virtual teaching.
