Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported “Indian Quadcopter Airspace Violation in Sankh Sector along LOC today. In this provocative act, the Indian quadcopter intruded 600 meters inside Pakistan’s territory for conducting surveillance. This blatant act was aggressively responded to by Pakistan Army troops shooting down Indian quadcopter. Such unwarranted acts by the Indian Army are clear violations of established norms, existing Air Agreement between two countries, and reflect the Indian Army’s consistent disregard to Ceasefire Understanding of 2003.”
According to military sources, the Indian military uses quadcopters for aerial photography of Pakistani posts along the LoC as part of its intelligence-gathering operations and target selection before carrying out cross-LoC shelling.
It is not the first time that India has violated the Ceasefire Agreement, but it has become a routine practice. Especially since the RSS-backed Modi Government is in power in India, the aggressive policies against Pakistan have reached a peak. On the one hand, India is violating Line of Control and, on the other hand making false anti-Pakistan propaganda. India is instigating Pakistan for retaliation. Availing the opportunity of Pandemic, when the whole world is over-engage in fighting against the COVID-19, Indian increased its cross border aggressions.
The visionary leadership in Pakistan is well aware of Indian motives and observing constraints and patience. Pakistan understands the consequences of escalations and especially when both India and Pakistan are Nuclear States. Both possess enough piles of lethal weapons to eradicate each other. Once escalation started, it might engulf the whole region as few other countries are behind India or supporting India against Pakistan.
Pakistan is a peace-loving nation, and visionary leadership is advocating for global peace, cannot involve in any war or warlike acts. Although Pakistan has the capability and capacity to retaliate, and has demonstrated in February 2019, but for the broader interest of global peace and humanity, would like to avoid any disaster.
Hindu extremist RSS-Backed Government in India is making wrong decisions one after another like Provocation of Occupied Kashmir, Amended Citizenship Act-2019, Sudden Implementation of Lockdown, and then sudden removal of Lockdown under Pandemic etc. Economy is almost collapsed, law and order situation deteriorated leading toward civil war, Domestic politics and pressure from opposition parties, the rise of internal insurgencies, etc., major issues are being faced.
Under all these internal pressures, due to his extremist policies, frustrations of Modi-Government is understandable, but it should not permit the violations of Ceasefire and line of control. Indian misadventure may not help to divert public opinion from domestic issues.
International Community may outreach and control the deteriorated situation in India. If timely intervention is not placed, humankind may suffer massive loss. Minorities are under severe threat from ruling elite-RSS. There are 250 million Muslims, 150 million Sikhs, and around 100 million are Christians. Approximately 100 million all other religions. All minorities are under threat. Kashmir is under curfew since the 5th of August 2019, leading the situation toward hunger and starvation, deliberately imposed disaster – genocide. Amended Citizenship Act-2019 may affect 2 million Muslims and loss of nationality. If 2 million people are pushed into Bangladesh, a new issue will be created. Extremist Government backed by RSS in India is a real threat to regional peace and stability and a significant hurdle to the prosperity of the whole region. Hindu religion has four castes, the lowest is untouchable, having almost no human rights in the society, and the most prestigious caste is the Brahmin. RSS is from Brahmin Caste and constitute only 5-6% of the whole population, but rules the country.
Under the UN charter, peacekeeping force may be deployed, and human lives may be rescued. The UN has the mandate to protect the humankind and outreach to destitute communities. International Community should approach India on urgent basis, before it is too late. After the situation burst, it firefighting may not be an easy task.
