Small Medium Business Economies: Frontline Fighters on Coronavirus

Share

Big business is big business, but small business is far bigger. Now SME of the world fighting for their survival, and in response, most world leaders have now boldly indicated their support to fund small medium enterprises within nations as they feel these small and agile businesses are not only the bloodstream of local prosperity balance but also the frontline champions of national economy.

President Trump, just allocated USD$50 Billion fund for loans to SBA the Small Business Administration Agency, and another USD$200 Billion of liquidity greatly needed on cuts and benefits. This is a great move indeed and something that may mobilize local entrepreneurialism during these extremely confusing, difficult and also pre-election times.

Small medium businesses are the front line producers, suppliers and job creators in standstill communities where quarantined rules may also apply their role and survival is a critical point in time and once fully connected on digital platforms they have a better chance of increased performance and economic stability.

The overall indicators on business operations are extremely dim; Italy shuts down businesses, USA stopped flights to Europe, the Covid-19 Pandemic is unfolding by the minute. The unimaginable impact is now on the working 2-3 billion people of the world; offices, factories, schoolings and deliveries, almost all aspects are under extreme stress.

Once the cure is founds and masks taken off, there may be a new face of economic wisdom

Any prolonged pandemic may create a brand new remote-working-culture: Remote working and upskilling of working citizenry may be the next hidden national transformation in waiting. Currently, the extreme power of technology not yet tabulated against critical lack of skills of working citizenry while creating trade-wars only as proofs of lack of required competence to match global standards on quality exportable productivity. Only the most skilled citizenry capable of withstanding emotional endurance on complex and critical thinking will make their nations shine. The abundance of national resources or industrial base, without entrepreneurialism and value added creativity only stay as abandoned commodities and without intelligent commercialization innovation stays rolled up in archives. Upskilling should become mandatory agenda of national mobilization of entrepreneurialism and not just more admissions to universities.

Today a USD$ 1000 technology may replace 1000 jobs, decade ago it needed a billion dollars.

The West forget the humanistic inter-phase with cyber-electro-ergonomics; run of the mill education without tactical training surrounded by fake economies. Therefore today, depression, stress and mental-health tops as major problem at work in Western economies, a perfect storm appears.

Will there be a march of billion? Come next 1000 days the global economic stress levels may force such crowding on boulevards of the world. Workless, jobless, and officeless, tired they march…never ever in the history of mankind assembled such number of once mighty, highly skilled, educated and experienced subjected to replacements by their own technological advances.

Technology is never to blame; political leadership in most developed nations addicted to oil and hype of globalization ignored the middle class, small medium enterprises and deeper study of futurism of workless; upskilling in complex problem solving and multidimensional thinking.

“Manpowering” muscle and body played a key role in processing now for the robots

“Humanpowering” where genders use mental agility as a superior driving force in processing

Futurism of high-level commerce is mental gymnastic driven without offices and cubical while low-level commerce in the hands of robots, replacing some billion office workers mostly in developed nations.

Three Keys in order to keep pace with crisis and avoiding insecurities-panics, restless citizenry to create immediately Roundtable discussions on how to harmonize talents, technologies and upskilling while the nations are increasingly slowing down on business activities.

1-The Collaborative Microcosms; where economic progress comes as upskilling platforms around regional SME bases to boost their fullest potentials with massive use of free technologies. How digital platforms bring the world closer without travel or tradeshows?

2-The Population-Rich-Nations; once considered poor due to hungry mouths now each pair of legs with a mobile device is a potential enterprise center. Knowledge-Rich Nations have a tough climb unless they adapt global collaborative thinking and understand diversity and tolerance. How the nations can create value added productivity via upskilling and exchange skills to fit the global consumptions.

3-The National Mobilization of Entrepreneurialism; a world class global age strategy, as it’s time to awaken to digital platform economies and mobilize national SME under master plans. This new thinking has serious opposition on old blocks. How and why these are best times to uplift national talents and SMEs as new pillars of midsize economy?

Plan very meticulously and execute very carefully… an extraordinary global shift in thinking and mind share is now inevitable…
