Hasan Ehtisham

Hasan Ehtisham is currently an M. Phil scholar in the Department of Strategic Studies at the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. He holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies from QAU and Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Journalism from the University of Punjab, Lahore. His analytical research work contributes to the topics of geopolitics, terrorism, conflict resolution, military strategies, Pakistan’s nuclear strategy, non-proliferation regime, arms control and disarmament. He has profound interests in media production and direction, Hotel management and tourism. He has worked as Supervisor in Pearl Continental Hotel, Bhurban.

ussian involvement into Levant which began on September 30, 2015, is very important in the context of Kremlin focusing towards its South, particularly the Middle East. According to a German analyst, Russian current rapprochement over Middle East policy is a manifestation of how Moscow can catch the West by surprise. In the current scenario of disorder in the region, Moscow can be appreciated as a systematised force to find a peaceful solution to conflicts in the Middle East.
