Since Donald Trump took over the oval office, uncertainty has two-folded and the International Liberal Order came under jeopardy. Even some analysts smack the drum of the end of the unipolar world. It was more evident during the G20 summit, which American lost its leading role to encourage the summit participant to condemn North Korea’s intercontinental ballistic missile test. Trump’s foreign policy objective to make America great again not only isolated the country, but also caused mistrust amid the US strategic partners.

The post-US withdrawal of Paris Pact at Hamburg was not adequately appropriative of the world mood. Such congregations and jamborees do create artificial camaraderie sans any tangible results, and the same has been witnessed at the Hamburg-Germany. Trump Presidency would be remembered for its biggest disservice to the cause of maintaining climate ecology on the planet earth.

From Paris Climate Accord to North Korean Nuclear threat, US-Russian ties to Indo-China strain, this G20 summit will witness the global superpowers in their worst, trying to make their best.

Today, if at all any two big powers share territories and conduct trade mutually beneficially and they do not have any serious problems,  then, Russia and China fit the bill. The bilateral ties between two veto members and former communist states in Europe and Asia have been improving tremendously.

US President Donald Trump is set to meet with his Russian counterpart President Vladimir Putin at next week's G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany amid investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible collusion between Trump's campaign and the country's officials.

At the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2017, ministers of G20 countries called on members to continue on the path of inclusive growth, warning against protectionism. “If you want to get more inclusive growth, you need more free trade,” said Wolfgang Schäuble, Federal Minister of Finance of Germany, which holds the G20 presidency. Schäuble added that the G20 should be redoubling efforts to promote inclusive growth as part of free trade.

Proposed in the aftermath of the financial crisis of Asia and Latin America, the G-20 started in 1999 as a long-term global-governance informal forum rather than an organisation.
