After the end of the cold war and end of multi-polar world order many strategists and political analyst believed that is to be the beginning of an end to the long proxy war “the proxy war between Soviet Union its allies and US and its allies” in Afghanistan which caused millions of Afghan citizens dead, paralyzed and displaced.
Syrians have been passing five consecutive years under fierce conflict and there is yet no sign of peace. However, the failed meetings and the “talk-shop” conferences among local and regional parties led by the global powers have been continuing in usual intervals.
In an unforseen decision last August, Iran allowed Russian warplanes to conduct several missions over Syria from the Shahid Nojah Air base in Iran. Russian tactical bombers took off from the airbase and targetted several spots related to ISIS and Jabhat Al Nusra. As surprising as it seems, observers and policy makers did not expect such move given the long unstable relationship between Russia and Iran, often associated with tension and uncertainty.
Possibly something bad has happened to US policy makers and CIA-Pentagon duo as their strategy to further divide and complicate relations between Russia and Turkey misfired. The US game plan misfired thanks to the timely crushing action by Turkish government against the plotters and coup leaders who seem to have worked for quite some time under US-EU (Germany) directions to destabilize the Islamist nation so that it never becomes strong, again.
