After the end of the cold war and end of multi-polar world order many strategists and political analyst believed that is to be the beginning of an end to the long proxy war “the proxy war between Soviet Union its allies and US and its allies” in Afghanistan which caused millions of Afghan citizens dead, paralyzed and displaced.
Friday, October 7 went by quietly unnoticed by major US media. It was the 15th anniversary of the war in Afghanistan -- a war with no foreseeable end in sight. The number of troops due to remain in Afghanistan has been raised 50 percent to 8400.
The Islamic Caliphate State (now on: ICS) is an Islamic Salafī-Takfīrī organization that takes its ideology from Islam and acts exactly according to Muhammad and the Four Righteous Caliphs' example (al-Khulafā' al-Rāshidûn). It employs Jihad, Da'wah and Hijrah at the same time acts to bring back the Islamic seventh century as the ideal socio-political system. It is characterized by an un-selective Jihad terrorist strategy of killing the infidels (Takfīr – Kuffār), including killing Muslims who do not follow the strict commandments of Islam. By this, ICS has a world Islamic mission to accomplish.

The international situation proves we are losing the war on terror, by failing to define the enemy and ignoring the battle ground. Western leader must acknowledge reality. Indeed, one of the wonders of human nature is how leaders transform information into knowledge, or perhaps better, how they disregard the hazards by ignoring, using mental agnosia, and appeasing. This politicians' illness, the oblivion of reality, is pervasive, and “war on terrorism” has become a favorite slogan.
