ince last summer, when Trump was a presidential candidate, the FBI has been secretly monitoring the communications of one of his advisers for possible links between Russia and the Trump campaign. To spy on American citizens a court order is mandated by law. The FBI did in fact obtain from a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court judge.

s part of his so called tax reform agenda Trump has put on the table a proposal which is quite revealing of his true intentions: elimination of the payroll tax which funds Social Security and part of Medicare, or at the very least cut it drastically. It’s nothing short but a back-door way of cutting Social Security benefits.

devious way for Trump to divert Congress from the investigation of Russia’s role in the 2016 US election and any links between Moscow and the Trump campaign, is that of shifting the focus to the possibility of illegal leaks of classified information and whether Trump and his associates with ties to Russia were caught up in incidental collection by surveillance targeting foreigners.

aking a page from the Caligula record of deranged behavior and antics, President Trump, in the presence of press reporters, recently staged a scene worthy of such an august persona from the era of the Roman Empire. He had arrived to one of the impressive White House Halls for the signing of some executive orders which he then loves to proudly display to the press, not unlike a three year old displaying his ability to write.

nless agreement on a new spending bill is finally reached a government shutdown is all but assured. It began when House Speaker Paul Ryan broadcasted an interview with CBS where he expressed concerns that the failure of the repeal of the Affordable Care Act might drive Trump into compromise with the Democrats in attempting to change Obamacare.

ransitioning from CEO to President has not been easy for Trump. That is because he is still under the illusion that it is just as easy to be one as to be the other.
