Words are beautiful and they give us so much. Through using words we can share ideas and more importantly we can develop concepts and literally take things forward. They inform, they entertain and they explain.

The terrorist attacks of 13th November, 2015 show a very significant development in the level of sophistication of IS affiliated terrorist groups. The ability to plan and coordinate an attack involving multiple suicide attacks and shootings at several locations is a big step forward from the Charlie Hebdo attack, the murder of off duty soldier Lee Rigby in London, the two 'Lone Wolf' attacks in Canada and the cafe attack in Sydney.

The terror attacks mounted by radicalized groups around the world are exactly that. They are terrifying attacks. By attacking civilians in what would normally be a benign environment they induce feelings of terror in the wider population, which is ultimately their weapon of choice.
